Emily's 19

Who doesn't like to be the center of attention every once in while? Right? My 19 year old step-daughter in whom I haven't seen in 6 years, came to stay the week of July 4th with us. Since her birthday was a couple weeks back, we decided to throw her a little party to say "Welcome and Happy Birthday"


She came in on Saturday, June 30th, and we decided to stick with the party theme and grill out burgers and hotdogs. Of course, that probably wasn't the smartest idea on our part, since it was 96 degrees and humid! If any of you live in Florida, you can relate. I got busy baking and dipping early that morning. Here are a few things that I had been working on.

This was my first experiencce with dipping marshmellows and they were so easy and make such a "wow" statement. I forgot the pink morsels and didn't want to run to Michael's, so I opted to go with the milk chocolate morsels I had on hand.
