Habitat For Humanity - Advil® Relief

Have you considered giving back? Are your local schools struggling? Rescue missions needing help, animal shelters in need of donations? Those are a few ways to give back. It starts with you!

Hearing Solutions of Lake City spent one morning building a home with Habitat for Humanity. What a wonderful feeling to give back to the community and a great team building experience!

I shared with you HERE, my daughters experience in helping others. Now, I'm excited to share with you of my aunt's at Hearing Solutions experience. It's great to be a part of a family who is always out to help others. Its such an important piece to life. Reach out to someone in need, it will be more of a blessing than you know.

WHAT IS HABITAT? Nassau Habitat for Humanity (NHFH) is a local volunteer organization affiliated with Habitat for Humanity® International, a Christian inspired ministry whose mission is to build decent, affordable housing in the US and around the world. NHFH is run by a local board of directors who raise funds; select families, building sites and house plans; supervise construction and administer the mortgages. NHFH began building homes in 1993. In May 2012, Nassau Habitat completed its 31st home. Homes are built for families meeting the requirements outlined here. Donations and volunteer labor finance construction. The homes are sold at cost to qualified families through an interest free mortgage issued by NHFH. NHFH does not offer short-term housing, rental housing or immediate occupancy. Habitat families are selected without regard to religion, race, ethnic background, family status or disability.

If you want to see how other folks are doing their part to volunteer actively, I urge you to check out the Advil® Relief in Action program. The campaign honors and supports people who don’t let pain get in the way of helping others. Advil® is also donating to Habitat for Humanity and Wounded Warrior Project® for every bottle sold. Advil® is helping volunteers get the relief they need, and get back to giving back. If you want to share your own story of active volunteerism, post a photo on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and tag it with #ReliefinAction.

I am participating in a sponsored campaign hosted by Advil®. I received compensation for this post. While all opinions stated are my own, I make no claims about Advil® as a product or its effectiveness.
