Decorating with cloches add that wow factor and finishing look of elegance. Here I have added homemade pumpkin bread for a display.

I also love decorating with artichokes.

Pumpkin Bread

Oh how I LOVE anything pumpkin this time of year. I came across this pumpkin recipe and had to try it. It was the most delish recipe I have every tasted and it doesn't even have butter in it? Can you believe it? I sliced it up and put it on display. It didn't last very long at my house. I froze one and then thawed it the day of my women's Bible study for a quick dessert. I got so many compliments on it. Delish...

PUMPKIN BREAD - recipe compliments of decorchick.com

3 C sugar

1 C vegetable oil

4 eggs

3 1/3 C flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

2/3 C water

1 15oz can of pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)

Beat sugar, oil, and eggs together. Beat in flour (a cup at a time), baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir in water and pumpkin (don’t use mixer for this part, it will splatter). Mixture looks kind of watery when you’re finished.

Bake in 3 greased loaf pans, 350 degrees for one hour, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let stand in pans for 10-15 minutes then remove and transfer to wire racks to cool. Let them cool completely before you wrap them up or whatever. They freeze well too.

A change to my Autumn Mantel

I'm so fickle when it comes to decorating. OR you can say I get bored easily. If I stay home from work or my husband has something he has to take care of, when he returns home, he walks around the house as if his head is spinning on an axis to see what looks different. You can read about my Fall Mantel changes ~here~.

So, the only thing I did differently here is change out the mirror. Another one of my favorite things!
I love mirrors! Doesn't it change the look entirely?

Update to my fall dining and look into my fall den

I have been searching to find some retired Southern Living at Home Pacific Blue Gallery Plates. Well, guess what? I found them. New in the box. I already had the chargers with the blue accent and thought they would go really well on my dining table. I added them with my Emma White Collection from Pottery Barn.

And then I added just a little touch of fall to our den area.

A little more Fall decor around the house

This weekend my hubby and I went out to Lowe's to pick up a few things. When I got there and seen the mums in full bloom (finally), I had to have some. I changed out my fall trough I built with live mums. If you missed the trough, you can read it (here).

Also, I changed out my chalkboard to reflect fall.
