Strawberry Shortcake

It's that time of year when you want something light, sweet and cold! Strawberry Shortcake seems to work well around this part of town. I'll share with you a recipe that I put together and it's really delicious!

Strawberry Shortcake Gelatin

• 2 cups fresh strawberries diced
• 3 tablespoons corn starch
• 3 tablespoons of strawberry jello
• 1cup organic sugar 
• 1 cup of water

Bring all to a boil, carefully stirring not letting it burn. Once thickened, completely cool and add diced strawberries 

Strawberry Shortcake Cream

• 1 18oz whipped cream
• 1 8oz sour cream
• 1 cup of sugar OR 1/2 organic sugar

Cream all together until smooth and refrigerate 30 minutes

You can you any pound cake, vanilla cake, or whatever cake you desire. Crumble up into pieces.

Layer starting with cake, drizzle gelatin over cake, add cream mixture generously. Repeat, ending with cream. Slice of couple strawberries and throw them on top!
