DIY Trough

I have been browsing Pinterest looking for ideas. I came across this trough that was built from a broken down picket fence. So, I decide I would love to re-create my own trough for a table scape. Here below is a picture of what Pottery Barn has to offer this season.


I like it, but wanted something with more edge on it. This is what I started with.








 As you can see the red in this wood, that means I got it from the scrap pile at Home Depot. It cost me $6 whole dollars to make this project from start to finish. The hardware was the most expensive at $1.27 a piece. I had the stain on hand from another project my husband was working on last year.





Once I finished with the stain, I used a sand paper buffer and buffed the shine off. I also beat it with a hammer for a rough look. I'm linking up with;
